This upgrade is for owners of license(s) for MovieRecorder 4 and who want to upgrade to MovieRecorder 5.
WHAT'S NEW IN MOVIERECORDER 5?
MovieRecorder 5 introduces powerful new workflow enhancements, including:
- Added support for more Streaming formats (HLS, SRT,...). Requires Streaming Center 2.
- A new Router Panel to control and schedule video router changes directly from MovieRecorder.
- A modern Web UI for remote monitoring, scheduling, and recording destination management.
- Expanded integration with REST API, GPI, TSL 5, and serial protocols for improved automation and connectivity.
- Added full support for Blackmagic-Design Decklink IP100 - using SDK 16.0. Note that Blackmagic-Design Drivers 16.0 or later are required.
- Added support for Macnica MEP100 card (Work in Progress - Contact us for more info)
- Added support for more Streaming formats (HLS, SRT,...). Requires Streaming Center 2.
These new features provide greater flexibility, remote control, and integration with modern broadcast workflows.
HOW TO UPGRADE ?
- If you are using a Serial Number, we will send you an upgrade serial number. You will need to activate both your original (main) license and the upgrade.
- If you are using a Dongle, send us the dongle serial number that you intend to upgrade. Once the order is processed, you will receive an upgrade procedure for your dongle.
- If you are using a Serial Number but want to upgrade to a dongle, it is still possible, just add a dongle to your order and tell us what Application Serial Number it should replace. We will then send you the procedure for the migration.
HOW MANY UPGRADES DO YOU NEED?
You need one upgrade per license you own. We have upgrade packs available, so if you need to upgrade multiple channels, make sure to check these.
I WANT TO KEEP ON USING AN OLDER VERSION, IS IT POSSIBLE?
Absolutely. Our licenses are "backward" compatible, so you could be using a MovieRecorder 5 license on a MovieRecorder 1 version if you wanted to. Just beware that our free support is limited in time...
