GPICommander is a USB-to-GPI converter featuring:

• 24 inputs (open-collector type, common ground)
• 8 independent relay outputs
• Multi-device support: Each unit has a unique serial ID, allowing you to use multiple devices to expand input/output capabilities.

GPI Triggering & Software Integration

GPI triggers can be received and saved natively in some Softron applications, such as OnTheAir Video or MovieRecorder. Additionally, you can use the free GPICommander application, which supports AppleScripts, allowing interaction with any macOS application that supports AppleScript. It enables you to:

• Send AppleScript to the GPICommander application to tell it to trigger a GPI output.
• The GPICommander application will execute a specific AppleScript when a GPI input is received.

Third-Party Integration

For third-party developers who wish to create their own software for GPICommander, an SDK is available for macOS, Linux and Windows.

• Allows direct control without AppleScript.
• Supports Windows, enabling control via C code.

There are multiple versions of the GPICommander box. Before ordering, please ensure that your Softron software is compatible with the version you are purchasing.
If you are using a third-party application, check with the provider to confirm which version of the GPICommander box they support.

• This warranty covers only defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover:
  • damage caused by accidents, abuse, misuse, mishandling, or improper installation;
  • unauthorized modifications, repairs, or tampering;
  • damage resulting from use outside of the recommended environmental or electrical specifications;
  • cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality;
  • loss, theft, or physical destruction of the product.
• If, upon inspection, Softron determines that the damage was caused by any of the exclusions listed above, the repair will not be covered under warranty. In such cases, the customer will be responsible for all associated repair costs, which will be communicated before any service is performed..
• Warranty claims must be accompanied by a valid proof of purchase indicating the purchase date and product serial number.
• Outbound shipping from Softron to the dealer or customer is covered. Inbound shipping from the customer to Softron is not included.
• The customer is responsible for the inbound shipping cost and must use an insured shipping service (such as FedEx or UPS), and not registered mail.
• We will ship only to the same country as the one used for the original order.
• Customers are responsible for securely packaging the product when shipping it to Softron for warranty service. Products damaged during shipping due to inadequate packaging will not be covered under warranty.
• Softron’s liability is limited solely to the repair or replacement of the defective product under the terms of this warranty. Under no circumstances shall Softron be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption.
