This option allows the integration of OnTheAir Video 4 with traffic software solutions such as the ones from Wide Orbit.
Here are some of the features that it brings:
- Wide Orbit integration: Open Wide Orbit (WOS), BXF, and SCD playlists
- Media Browser: Add support for a local and remote media browser. As traffic playlist do not hold the path to the file, all files will have to be placed in one single folder
- Folder-based schedule: Create one playlist per day, and simply place it in a folder using the appropriate name
- Remote Control: Allow to control or monitor OnTheAir Video remotely, with also the ability to do "gang playback control". You don't need to order the remote control option if you own the traffic option, as it is included
- "Virtual" sources: Live sources with some preset attributes (actions, GPI trigger, etc...)
- Process purge lists: Import .DAT files to know which clips should be deleted from disk

WHAT KIND OF LICENSE WILL YOU RECEIVE? HOW TO ADD AN OPTION?
If you are ordering an option together with a license, you will receive one serial number (or one dongle if you purchased the dongle option) that contains everything, the application license, with all the options.
If you already have the license and that you order this option at a later time, depending on the type of license that you own, you will have different options:
- If you are using a Serial Number, you will receive an upgrade serial number that you will add to the list of serial numbers in the "License" window and activate it, just as a "Master Serial Number" (the one that you received when you first ordered. This means that you will always have to have the 2 Serial Numbers activated.
- If you are using a Dongle, you will need to send us the serial number of the dongle that you intend to upgrade. We will then update our database, and you will follow the dongle upgrade procedure.
- If you are using a Serial Number but want to upgrade to a dongle, simply order a dongle from our store and in the comments of the order, indicate the serial number(s) license(s) that should be migrated to it. You will have to deactivate them, before we can migrate them to the dongle.
SERIAL NUMBER OR DONGLE ?
By default, when ordering a license, you will receive a Serial Number by email that will require an activation using an internet connection. Before moving your serial number to another computer, you will need to deactivate it from the first computer. It will not be possible to activate the license on another computer if it was not first deactivated from the first computer.
This is why we strongly advise ordering the dongle option in cases of a critical use of the software. For example, a dongle is recommended if you need to move your license frequently from one computer to another, OR if you want to quickly move the license from the main computer to the backup in case of a hardware malfunction.
For more information on the activation/deactivation process or the dongles, you should have check the Help Center about our licenses available on the Softron Support Desk. You can also read the information on the dongle product page.
